Would this outfit look good?

so i have a halter top brownish dress that is about knee length and my fiance suggested i wear my brown sip up cowboy boots with them? I also have a light tannish color of cowboy boots that just slip on that i could wear as well. I am very weary of putting these two together because if I go in public I don't like the fact of people looking at me or talking about me. Just an opinion or other suggestion to wear would be appreciated.
