Is this normal, and is eating frequently really that good for the metabolism?....?

First, yes it is good to be eating that frequently! I can't calculate the calories you ate off hand by looking, but it doesnt seem as though there are too many at all. If you are exercising that much and NOT trying to lose weight, you definitely can afford to be eating more. It's a common misconception that we should eat less often, but eating every 2-3 hours helps your body know that you are not starving so that it does not have to hold on to the fat you have (if you're losing weight) If you're not losing, try and figure out how many calories you should be eating to support your weight and how much exercise you're doing. Good for you for being so active and healthy!
