Obama plans to freeze spending on some parts of Domestic Spending. Thoughts?

It's at least a step in the right direction, although it appears it will be instantly negated by a thousand steps in the wrong direction as he jacks up spending in other areas. Saving a couple billion is nice. It would be nicer if those savings weren't immediately thrown away, with interest, with expanded spending in other areas. A serial killer may save a puppy. That is a good act, and one that should not be disparaged. But it doesn't erase the fact that he tortured and slaughtered the family that owned the puppy in the first place. That's kind of how I feel about this.
