Indiana Jones on PS2 - frequent "Corrupted Data"?!?!?

All other games we own save the games just fine. Put in Indy and it's always a 'crap-shoot' to see if the last game was saved(yes, the Save Feature is ON). To say the least, it's FRUSTRATING!!!!!! We were up to 85% complete and, POOF, was "Corrupted" when we went to play it again a couple days later.
